My family was focused on community service from the beginning – as kids, we were taught how important it is to give back to the community in any way you can, and that’s how I have lived my life. Serving the people of Asheboro since January 2022 has been an absolute privilege, and I humbly ask for your continued trust for the next four years.
I pride myself on listening to the people and their beliefs and desires about how I should continue to serve them, and we have a lot of work to do together.
We must continue to prioritize public safety by funding salaries, equipment, and training for our police officers, firefighters, and first responders. Plans are also in the works for a third fire station, which is needed due to the city’s growth to the south and to maintain our ISO 1 rating, which can significantly lower business and homeowner's insurance rates.
Since joining City Council, I have advocated for a focus on our streets, sidewalks, and sewer and water infrastructure, and I know that’s a primary concern for many of you. Now that we are embarking full force on some of those investments, I want to use the experience and relationships gained through serving on Council to make the most cost-effective decisions. I
want to see those plans through on behalf of the people I serve and continue the momentum we have right now.
The momentum Asheboro has due to new businesses and the growth of our downtown and other areas needs to be supported. Housing and workforce development remain key areas that we must continue to focus on. I have supported planned and purposeful growth since being on Council. I have also worked to ensure that growth enhances and protects Asheboro’s distinctive qualities, ensure current businesses are supported and appreciated, and attract new businesses and jobs to complement our current strengths.
I have the time, energy, dedication, and commitment needed to work for everyone in Asheboro to ensure we maintain our momentum in a positive way. I’d love to speak with you about any questions, comments or concerns. Click the contact button at the top of the page to send me a message, and I hope to see you out in our community!
